- 【Portable & Durable Silica Gel Desiccant Containers】: 750g sturdy metal canister is designed with perforated mesh sides, filled with regenerable silica gel. Indicating silica gel desiccant containers are strong and resistant to dents, while the spray-painted exterior prevents rust. The can features a removable lid, and the top cap can be unscrewed to easily empty the contents. Its independent and portable design offers convenience in both usage and storage. Effective volume of 560 cubic feet.
- 【Indicating Silica Gel Beads】: Wisesorb cobalt chloride-free orange indicating beads (2-4mm in size) are designed to change color within a humidity range of 20%-50%. Once saturated with moisture, the beads will complete the color change to green. It’s important to note that the initial color change does not indicate full saturation. The beads will continue to absorb moisture until reaching 50%RH. We recommend periodically checking the silica gel beads to ensure their effectiveness.

I bought this to put in my fireproof/water tight safe. I appreciate that it’s an indicator gel, letting you know when it’s time to bake it for a couple hours.

I bought the three pack for my 64 capacity gun safe. I started out I was just going to use one at a time. One can brought my humidity down from 57% to 52% and lasted about two weeks before needing a recharge. I then added a second one and it got it down to 50% and lasted a bit longer that 2 weeks. Now I have all 3 cans in it and my humidity is in the mid 40%.
When recharging the caps must be removed or the plastic will melt, the instructions say to heat at 250 for 3hrs. I fount mmd that is not enough to get the very center dried out, it looks dry but if you shake them up the still damp green beads will come out of the center and you can then see it needs more time . The Last time I dried them out I accidentally hit 350 and left them for four hours and I noticed no damage to them, and they were dry to the core. I will probably continue drying them at 300°f for 4hrs going forward.

turns green, then into the oven, and back to orange in about 20 mins, dry->moisture saturated cycle about 2 weeks (canadian summer, so not very humid as down south)…

Great dehumidifier for safes – desiccant. Easy to install, just set them in, and when they turn color, you simply put them in an oven for a couple of hours and then reinstall them.

I had a small water leak in the basement issue where I keep my safe so the safe had a lot of moisture in it that wicked up thru the bolt holes inn the bottom. I used these dehumidifiers for a while and they seemed to work pretty well. After re-charging them in the oven a few times they got less effective and the metal started to rust. I had to throw them out so the cost was a bit high if I amortized it over only a few re-uses.

I use a rifle/gun case as my camera storage safe. It’s important to keep the humidity down for the several expensive lenses and cameras I use. Since it’s in the basement it’s always had ~70% humidity and this dehumidifier brings it down to a more acceptable 55% to 60%. I find I have to “cook” it about every 5 weeks.

I can’t really rate this as I haven’t seen it yet. Our wonderful USPS has had it at my local post office not once, but twice! They just can’t seem to take it off the truck!

Installed in a safe. It’s overkill but that’s great.

I used this for a month before recharging in the oven. Works as advertised for a small gun cabinet

Works well

Having two of these to use inside my gun safe is perfect. I have one for the pistol shelf and the other for the long guns. Works like a charm and has a color code indicator to signal when it’s time to dry them out and re-use. Excellent value for money.

I’m really enjoying this dehumidifier. When I dry it in my toaster oven I rotate the canister every 30 min and you can see the green desicant come out of the middle. Buy the end of the 3 hrs there’s very little, if any, green desicant left. If you don’t stir or agitate I don’t believe you will get all of the desicant dry in 3 hrs, IMHO.

This product accomplishes what promises. The unique problem that im seeing is that the “window” isn’t so clear and you have to open the container every time. I’m not sure if this canister is totally rust proof but after 2 months all is going well
