Where I live is very hot and humid. I purchased an electric dehumidifier for my master bedroom and, surprisingly, it is pulling a ton of water from the air, and fills very quickly. As a result, I got Moisture Absorber Hanging Bags for my closets, and they are also pulling a lot of moisture from the air, making it clear that I need to try to keep my belongings, throughout my home, safe from moisture. So I am trying different methods, especially in those areas where I don’t have electrical outlets to plug in a dehumidifier. Therefore, when I saw these, I thought I would give them a try. They are advertised as being “designed to absorb all moisture from the air, even under extremely humid conditions,” which is what I needed. But, in my mind, the best thing about them is that they are “renewable and reusable, and “offer convenient renewal and reusability features.” You just heat them in the microwave for 3 minutes, to reactivate its moisture-absorbing capability. And, if a microwave isn’t available, you can place the bag on a radiator, or expose it to direct sunlight, until the indicator light turns blue again.

These work really well in the safe. My safe has a dehumidifier installed in it, but that means I have to rely on electricity to keep my items free from humidity, and we have more than our fair share of power outages. These work really well, are easily rechargeable, and power outages don’t effect them.

After less than a month, they need to be recharged and I don’t think they took any sort of humidity out of the air. Waste of money.

Maybe you are like me and do not think that you need these. Well, that is what I thought too! I live in Arizona; it is a bone-dry heat here in the desert. So, I ordered the QBmalls 100g Rechargeable Desiccant Pack of 10 on AMAZON. I placed two of them in my gun safe, thinking that I didn’t need these. Well, guess what? A week later they had almost turned pink! Relative humidity readings where I live are usually in the single digits. And guns somehow are magnets to moisture & they will rust. So, to protect my investment I have now ordered a second box of the QBmalls.
I will place them throughout my home in closets, floor safe, bathroom vanities, under kitchen sink, my tool cabinets in the garage, everywhere I can think of. Any you know the greatest part? They work and they are rechargeable! Three minutes in the microwave & they are good as new! That is incredible. I am so impressed with this product that I am going to give some of them to my friends that also have gun safes because they do not know that they have a problem either.
In summary, if you think you do not need this product and you live in a moist climate, think again! I am giving a full FIVE STARS to the QBmalls Rechargeable Desiccant Pack!

Works great in my hard sided padded shotgun case and small gun cabinet. I can’t say how long these go before needing to be recharged or if the indicator is accurate but so far they are doing the trick and recharging them is simple.

I have these and others like these that I have put to good use in my closet and in my car. These can be recharged in your microwave. They do absorb moisture. I need to set reminders to help me recharge them appropriately.
