Had to scrable to find power outside. Unit is quiet when running next to my deck unlike the old window unit. When heat here in east texas rises above 100% this unit keeps my home cool supporting my large home unit. You can feel the cooling five to six feet in front. Unit doesn’t have a swinging airflow out the vent.

PSA: The paperwork says that the warranty is void if you don’t hire a professional to install the unit for you. Therefore, this unit effectively comes with no warranty as almost everyone installs a mini split themselves!
I bought a couple of these for some rooms in the back of my house that are never adequately cooled by our central air system. This was the first time I’d ever installed an AC and it went very well. There are a couple parts that come with this which are insufficient. Luckily, parts are available at local big box stores.
The tube that goes through the wall to protect the hoses wasn’t big enough to get through a standard cinder block wall (most exterior walls in Florida are cinder block).
The stretchy wrap that you wrap around the hoses wasn’t quite long enough to get to the end of the hoses.
The beauty of an “inverter” type unit is that it actually uses less power when less cooling is needed vs a traditional that’s just toggled ON/OFF based on a thermostat setting. My unit draws only 3.5a at 120v to keep my home office at 70f. It’s using about 400w a day – not too bad for that much cooling! When it is set to maximum cooling, it does draw the rated maximum current (I think it’s something like 12a). But that would likely freeze me to death.
Installation was easy. Since most (or all) mini split systems are made by the same manufacturer and sold under a variety of brand names, you can follow almost any youtube instructional video for installation. These really helped me get through it.
Something to note: Everyone I know who bought a mini-split installed it themselves. The paperwork says that the warranty is void if you don’t hire a professional to install the unit for you. Therefore, this unit effectively comes with no warranty. Who’s going to pay some guy 500 bucks to do something the average homeowner does themselves? It’s a shady practice on the part of Classic America.
Also: there are things you’ll need in order to install which aren’t included. A vacuum pump, a vacuum pump adapter, a wall mount for the outside unit, and possibly a hose hider kit. This unit does come preloaded with refrigerant but a vacuum pump is absolutely required. There are many on amazon for around $100.

10 + STARS!!! This is hands down the BEST customer service I have encountered in a very long time. I had some questions about install and I was immediately connected with the owner and he was beyond exceptional!! All my questions were quickly answered with the utmost care and concerns. I never write reviews but felt it was very necessary for others on the fence about buying an ac unit and from a company. The owner and the company were just over the moon spectacular. Hard to find such wonderful customer service theses days. The unit itself is great and along with the customer service I feel I really got the best ac unit out there!!! You will not be disappointed!!

I took mine time and planned it out before i started. The instructions are not that great, so I did a lot of youtube searching to see how others installed mini splits. while most are different than this, it was very helpful. The most important part is to make sure your connections are done well. Then have an AC guy vacuum the system and check for leaks before releasing the freon.

This thing is super quiet and came with everything needed to be installed. Cools off the house amazingly. I have 2 12000 btu units for 1300 square feet home. After turning the unit on I have to get close to make sure it’s actually working. The fans we use in the house is louder than this mini split. Very happy with purchase

The 15K btu roof mount A/C in my camper could not keep up with summer heat. I purchased this 12K btu unit with the hopes it could supplement that A/C and keep things cool. Installation was no problem. First impressions were how quiet it is and how little power it uses. I used it all summer and didn’t need to turn on the room A/C once. This has better cooling than the 15K unit my camper came with!
I ended up damaging the inside unit fan after a few months of use. It’s not easy to do and should never happen, it was my fault. I contacted the manufacturer to purchase a new fan. They sent me one under warrantee! Even after I explained it was my fault they still sent it free of charge. Great service.
