The unit itself is very nice however, the wireing is a challenge to understand and there are some troubles in the lines. Other than that the system is good.

We were pretty skeptical about these units because we were quoted $38,000 for a full HVAC installation and that was way out of our price range. We bought two condensers and seven mini splits (I know sounds like a crazy idea) but a electrician I work with said it would be perfect to just install one in every room so we said “let’s just try it and see what happens” spent $8,000 and we did all the work ourselves. We turned them on in June, ran them all summer and we were amazed at the cooling power these things provided! Didn’t run them much in the fall because we burned wood during the cooler nights but when we did decide to use the heat pump boy what a pleasure they were. Heated up the home nicely and only the rooms in use got heated and cooled not the entire house.

I love this unit. Coming from oil fueled 1975 furnace with base board. Furnace is strong and built to last, but very inefficient. And oil prices hit a high of almost 6$ a gallon. Over 1500$ 4 or 5x in winter, I need an alternative. And this was IT! These units change the temp 15° to 20° in less than 1/2 hour. Yes it does hit that electric bill a bit, but it pales in comparison to what I’m saving from oil. Pretty easy to install specially for me not being very handy. Definitely would recommend this before you call a hvac contractor where a comparable unit will run double what I paid for this.

Measure out your lines. This unit can not go past 50 feet. Beware prior to buying.
