Don’t be fooled – there is no actual thermostat. It is either constant low heat or constant high heat. This heater never stopped running when we were using it. The room even reached 25 degrees on low heat and it never shut off.
For what it’s worth, it does run fairly quietly. But if you’re looking for a heater with built-in thermostat that will eventually auto-shut off, then this is not it.

Perfect little heater puts out alot of heat. Long lasting. I would definitely purchase again!

I got this heater to use in a self-built camper van. I had planned to install a diesel heater but we were taking a trip and I didn’t have time for all that, so I got this, and I am so glad I did! My plans for the diesel heater have been scrapped. It runs on 120v, I have a 2kw inverter that runs it just fine along with lights and everything else, and it warms up our van in just a few minutes! If you live in north Canada in January, this probably won’t work, but for our van this will keep us comfortable even when it’s down below freezing outside. I’ll switch it on in the morning and go back to sleep for 20 or 30 minutes and it will be perfectly comfortable when I get up to start the coffee!
It uses more electricity than a diesel parking heater so we can’t let it run nonstop, but for the money i saved getting this vs $200+ for a diesel, the space savings (when not in use I just throw it in a bottom drawer) AND not having to mess with a tank of diesel fuel under my sink, this is WELL worth it!
If you’re looking for something inexpensive to heat a spare room or a small shed/garage, anything around 100 sq ft or so, this is the ticket! It won’t make the room HOT, but it will absolutely take the chill off and make things comfortable.

It’s portable and light weight. Performs better than expected, the heat is hot even on the lowest setting. The safety feature is great, if you try to move it while turned on it will turn it off. Very versatile and easy to use, can go from heater to fan with the click of a button.

Produces a lot of heat. Nice a small for the floor or on a table/desk.

Blows off good heat for a small unit

I ordered this small heater for under my desk at work. The size factor was important as was the relatively low wattage. This heater checks the box for both of those issues as it is very small and only 520 watts. The heat output is in line with the low wattage so saying it doesn’t get very hot isn’t entirely fair as you’re, of course, going to get a lot more heat from a heater with 750, 1200, or more watts.
My biggest disappointment is with the way you interact with the power controls. There are two buttons on top of the unit that control the heat and the fan. Only, they don’t work properly. You’re supposed to be able to push one button to light up the fan icon and then the other button works the fan strength from one through three. Push the power button again to switch to the heater icon and then the other button controls the heat setting from one to three. My buttons are exactly reversed. When the fan icon is lit up pushing the second button controls the intensity of the heat, not the strength of the fan. When the heat icon is lit up, pushing the second button then controls the strength of the fan and not the intensity of the heat. It took me a long time to figure that one out as the tiny amount of instructions – and logic – suggested otherwise. Maybe I have a bad heater where some wires are crossed on the inside? The main button that should control the switching of the functions is also the power button and you push it a third time to turn the device off. Only thing is that it takes about a good 5 seconds to actually shut off and sometimes you forget about this and think it’s still left on which means you have to sit there and wait to make sure it’s truly off.
If I had it over to do again, I’d pass on this cheap model; you get what you pay for. I’d look for one that has maybe 750 watts as a nice middle ground and one that has a completely dedicated on/off switch. I’d also look for one that has physical dial for the fan control and a separate dial for the heat control.
This fan isn’t terrible, but I’m left wishing I bought a different one so my advice to you is to spend a bit more money and get one that is functionally better.
I hope this review was helpful for you. Cheers!

price, price price and very economicall on setting high the unit in b.c. will cost 4cents per hourly, by day $1.13, by week $7.94, by month $34.06. It will be less when on medium or low.

It does not have the large variable output of baseboard heaters, but does the job. We are well into winter here in the Great White North, and by using three of these throughout the house I have used only one of four 1500W space heaters and none of the large baseboard heaters so far. Our first snowstorm of the season was October 30, and those little guys are punching well above their weight. So far, so good….

Agréablement surprise de la chaleur fournie par ce petit appareil. Permet de chauffer rapidement un petit espace tel une minivan.

i’ll say this again and again, but the Amazon basic stuff are pretty good value. I will keep purchasing these products.
I have this small heater for my work area at home. I have a small desk in the basement and it’s usually really cold even if I have the central heater on. It’s always colder in the lower floors. This little guy will not heat up the whole room but will definitely warm up my work area, maybe 5X5 area. I keep it on the floor and the heat is projected at maybe 35-45 deg because the floor does not warm up. It is set at the lowest temp/mode and it keeps me comfortable for a long period.
I also like the safety feature of turning off if it tilts of falls off balance. That very important when you have children or pets that are constantly running around and tipping this over is risky. I appreciate the thought.
it claims to be temperature controlled but it really is a low -> med -> High setting. do not expect a thermostat to maintain a constant temp.
But overall I would recommend this small space heater to anyone looking to keep their feet and bums warm.

This is the heater I’ve been searching for and it’s perfect for my needs. Wanted a low wattage heater for under my work desk to keep my feet warm. The 1500 watt one I have makes my work area too warm and have to constantly turn off and on. The 500 watt Amazon heater is perfect. In fact, after a few days of use, the first heat setting is fine and only heats under the desk and not the whole area. The 2nd and 3rd heat settings are too warm. Very quiet on the first setting, too. I chose this heater over the cheaper Amazon heater because, 1. The grill is plastic (read reviews of the other one with metal grill that the grill gets very hot and burns), 2. The variable control settings instead of just on/off like the other one, and 3. The controls are on the top of the unit instead of on the back allowing me to use my feet to turn on/off instead of bending down under the desk to turn on/off. This one is well worth the extra $5. Only complaint is I ordered a black one and received a white one. Not a big deal since it sits under the desk and the white one is actually kind of sharp looking. Still, the lack of attention to detail by Amazon.
