I sent my unit back because it kept tripping off my circuit breakers, it didn’t cool the room at all, and there is no way to point the cooled air other than up. The manual says it’s only for outside air below 95 degrees, and there’s over 100 days of 100+ degree heat at my location. I was trying it in a 95 degree room with the outside air at 110. Sorry Amazon, this is why people buy ACs, we NEED them. I wish they had put this in the description, rather than make me buy the unit to find this in fine print in the manual.

I managed to not get an a/c for my apartment due to being able to open windows and use fans– but it finally got to the point where I needed to consider my comfort as my room was nearing 90 in the afternoons. I looked for something that would cool just my room, something compact and affordable that was NOT a window unit as I can’t drill into the walls and would not be able to use a regular window unit without that.
This was an affordable option– so I took the leap.
This arrived by Amazon Logistics, and the delivery gentleman was kind enough to bring this up the one flight of stairs I knew I couldn’t do on my own, and placed it right by my door. I then performed “scoot the box a few feet, laugh at how absurd I probably look” into my apartment. Note: while it was kept upright during shipping, it did have moments on its side just while going from truck to apartment. Amazon Logistics did a great job though– arrived in perfect condition, even the box didn’t have one scuff on it.
It’s a pretty compact size and fits comfortably in the corner of my bedroom; setup was incredibly easy, and I was lucky enough where the included exhaust tube was JUST the right length to work. However, I did get an extra-long one just in case that I will save for the future if needed. FYI it’s 5.9″ diameter, COUNTER-clockwise threaded tube if you need to grab a longer one.
After setting it up, I did wait before turning it on like recommended to be sure that any liquids in the aircon had settled. Once turning it on, I was so relieved that I finally had a comfortable temperature in my room that I took the best nap I’ve had in MONTHS. You don’t realize how much heat screws with your sleep until you don’t have it bothering you, I guess.
Noise level is like a white noise machine. Nothing obtrusive, honestly pretty comforting. The remote works like a portable room thermometer, great to keep near by so that your a/c knows to keep cooling when needed.
So far, this was ZERO anxiety to set up, unlike window units. Great value, especially for the price. If I could send a message to myself a few months back, it would be to buy this sooner. Good sleep is so incredibly worth it.

Gets the bedroom nice and cold. Doesn’t run the electric bill too bad. Saved a lot of money especially in the California heat wave that just hit.

My central air system died at the tail end of the summer . The repair would have been quite expensive because my system was older. I purchased the portable unit to get me through the last few hot weeks and it worked perfectly. The unit really gets as cold as the central system and the installation was fairly simple . It is a bit louder than what I’m used to but beyond that it’s the perfect solution.

This product has been a life saver for me! My place gets really hot in the summer and I wanted to invest in an air conditioner that would actually work and be worth the $.
Unfortunately it only gets down to 62 degrees Fahrenheit so on days where it’s over 90 it still feels a bit warm. Also keep in mind your living space square footage as one is not enough for me. This only reaches my dining room, kitchen, and living room.
The noise level is at a medium volume. Once it gets going it’s about the same as a regular fan, so sound on the tv will have to be turned up and if you have meetings you will have to turn this off.
The sleep mode is really nice, turns it on and off throughout the night and helps with the consistency of the cold air throughout my home.
Installing this unit was a pain as it’s really freaking heavy. I have NO idea how my Amazon driver got it up the stairs. But thankfully I found out it rolls! Also the foam liner around the window trim does NOT come off easily. Other than that it is an amazing purchase for me.

Doesn’t work, compressor doesn’t turn on. It’s just a fan. Ripoff!

This order took a month to reach me. Box was split open on one side and parts missing. I have photos of the item when it arrived.

It does take up space in a room. It also works very well. It’s kinda loud as others have mentioned. The fans mostly. But it cools a large master bedroom down quickly. Probably overkill but we are in Texas and I like to be cool. We haven’t experienced any severe cold yet but it got cold a couple nights ago and the heat this thing puts out is equal to the cool so far. If you’re willing to spend the funds it seems worth it to me. I just hope it stands the test of time.

This air conditioner stopped working in less than a month of having it. It was very loud, which we were prepared for from other reviews, but it was way louder than we expected. It ran really well the first two weeks and cooled the room down quickly. But after the two weeks it stopped blowing cold air. The loud noise has stopped and only the fan is working. I followed all of the recommended trouble shooting steps and nothing worked. I called the tech support and they said if it gets too hot outside it may not work. She said the temperature for it to work correctly is between 64-90 degrees. This is a bummer to find out. Although it’s only been around 80 degrees when it stopped working. They offered to replace it or issue a refund if we return it. We decided to return it.
