Heater works fine, but the remote does NOT work. I changed the battery and still NOTHING.

It’s a lifesaver. In my apartment, we are only allowed to have infrared heaters, like this one. Because they don’t tip over and start fires. This one is fantastic because it can’t tip over. It is a fantastic space heater that doesn’t cause a fire. But it gives you warmth. It is 100% spectacular. It is safe, just don’t put anything against it or near it or on top of it. 🙂

I bought this heater for two reasons: the reviews and the fact that if I had a problem, I would deal with Amazon and Amazon’s warranty directly.
The reviews seemed good for this heater. There were so many positive ones, I did not pay close enough attention to the negative ones. My mistake!
I received the heater today! I was excited to try it. Initially plugging it in, all seemed well. The heater was quiet, and a nice warm air flowed out of the vents.
After 15 to 20 minutes though, this heater started making a consistently loud, high-pitched squealing noise. The noise would alternate in intensity. You could hear the squeal get louder and more powerful, then it would get it a little weaker. The sound is so bad, there is no way I could ever listen to it day in and day out through the winter months.
I started reading more Amazon reviews and saw some stating the safety tip-over feature on this heater did not work. I decided to put mine on its side to see if it would shut off. It did not! While on its side and while completely upside down, the heater continued to blow and whine. It never turned off! Scary!
I then decided to power off the heater to put back in its box to return, but it would not turn off. I tried pressing the power button 10 different ways, and nothing happened. The heater kept going. I had to put it on its lowest setting and wait for it to cycle off so I could unplug it from the wall.
The high-pitched whining noise, the inability to turn it off, and the fact that this heater continues to run while on its side or upside down is scary, especially in a house with kids.
Amazon needs to do better! This heater should be recalled and not sold to the general public.

We’ve used this to strictly heat our master bedroom and bathroom, which is large at about 500sq/ft area. This unit has worked great, the remote is confusing and the battery didn’t last long but the temperature control on the unit is pretty good.
It takes maybe 20-30 minutes to heat up to 70 from 55, but only turns on for a few minutes an hour to keep it warm. We haven’t even seen a significant increase in our power bill, it’s actually dropped a few dollars.
COULD BE BETTER
Great unit for the price, was about to purchase a name brand unit for twice the price until I seen the amazon compared product…for the price it’s great but also the fan blowing the heat out could be stronger and the left side of the unit does warm up pretty warm which is why don’t put anything near the unit!
The plastic is also cheap which is how Amazon can provide it at this price point.

Got a deal for two of these. It’s summer so I haven’t needed them but bought for upcoming winter months. I plugged them in and they appear to put out good heat. My previous heater lasted about 8 years. Hope these are as effective

This heater is amazing at keeping a big open living room about 1000sf nice and toasty we had to turn her down. I kept it on eco friendly for the most part. It has two plug not 3 prongs and has tip over protection. The cord doesn’t get hot or my plug at all. The lights are easy to see. The only thing I hate is I can’t change the temp on eco friendly mode it’s stuck at 85 but blows low heat and shuts off here and there. I would recommend this heater and probably buy another one. There isn’t a filter to clean just a metal back so that can be nice or worriesome. The remote doesn’t work well and has to be super close to work so mise we’ll get up at that point. My son is 4 and has touched all around this heater and it’s not hot. The only part that is hot is the front two inches the heat comes out of. It glows orange as well. This was easy to roll on my hardwood floor. It’s overall a nice heater it will warm a drafty home like mine huge open home with hard wood floors and huge picture widows and a door that has a huge gap in it and a fireplace that is drafty as well.

Pros: This heater works well, its output is pretty consistent. Its a bit loud on the heat setting and then it cools down with a blast of fan air. I love the fact that it has a cord keeper in back and the whole thing is on casters so it is easy to move around.
Cons for us: Doesn’t have a safety button option, my kids love to push the buttons so we have to turn it on after they are out of the room or asleep. The lights on top are BRIGHT, and it blinks. Alot. I usually cover the panel with a small piece of tape.
The temp settings are set, you must press the button to select, you cannot turn it on 63 degrees. Its either 60 or 65. it goes up to… 80 degrees if my memory is correct. Its basically 60 degrees – 80 in 5 degree increments. For us, kind of inconvenient. We typically set our thermostat to 72 and if we have this space heater on, it is constantly running.

I brought 2 of these space heaters for my house. Great Product, simple to use, easy to clean the filter and a great price. I have had several different models, because we are on solar we run these throughout the house. We will be buying these from now on. Love them, you will see what I mean if you own a different model and have to clean the filters.
