I thought a good bit before giving this a 4 instead of a 5. It works well to humidify relatively small spaces, it is quiet, it is inexpensive, and customer service is very responsive. There were, however, a few issues that kept it at 4.
CAVEAT: All ultrasonic humidifiers have the problem of just shaking water into droplets and casting them into the air, along with any minerals and microorganisms that might be in the water. Safest use is to always use distilled water. Young healthy adults can probably tolerate tap water. Children perhaps not. Babies probably not. Those are just IMO, but for sure anyone in any way immunocompromised should definitely use distilled water. FIltered water (as in Brita) is a bit of a stopgap and likely enough for young adults and children, but likely not for babies and, again, not for the immunocompromised. IMO, if you don’t want to use distilled water, you should look for an evaporative humidifier of some sort (though they have their own issues).
CAVEAT #2: You really need to clean the unit well once a week. That is not terribly onerous, but needs doing. Dump water out of both the reservoir and the bottom of the unit. Mix enough white vinegar and water (about 50-50) to fill both parts and let them sit for at least 20 minutes. Use a Q-Tip to clean out the tight spots. Rinse thoroughly until the vinegar odor is gone and then dry. You need to do this cleaning because any surfaces on almost anything that are left wet will eventually grow microorganisms. The little things are everywhere and they love water. Serratia marcescens is a common one. It grows out pink.
Contrary to some reviews, I do not have a problem with the unit running for 8 hours or so. During the week I allow the water in the base to remain, refill the reservoir, and get through 8 – 9 hours fine. If you empty the bottom of the unit and just refill the reservoir you might have a problem getting 8 hours. The 24 hours mentioned by the vendor is unrealistic, even on the lowest setting.
Contrary to some reviews, it isn’t all that hard to fill the reservoir if you have a decent size sink nearby. Perhaps a bit awkward, depending on the sink, but not really much of an issue, at least for me.
Contrary to the vendor’s claims, I do not find the product sufficient to humidify even a medium size bedroom if the air is at all dry (even 50% relative humidity or so). For areas near the unit, though, it does a good job. I personally have a CPAP. I place the unit near it and it works well to provide air to my mask at an acceptable level of humidity (my ResMed CPAP machine is supposed to handle that properly by itself, but does not).

I bought two of these. This winter was cold, and with the furnace running constantly, the air was getting very dry in the house. I use one in my home office, and the other in the bedroom. At a fairly low setting, the office one runs all day on one fill, and the bedroom one all night. Has kept sinuses from getting dry and allows for more comfortable breathing. The operation is silent, and if you do run out of water, it shuts off automatically. Adjustable air spout helps direct the moisture to where you need it. I would definitely buy again!

It was easy to use and the mist is quite powerful. I felt better by the next day and sleep with it on every night. I like that it has different settings to adjust the mist. I’m very pleased with the purchase and highly recommend it. It’s performs great, it’s affordable and it also looks great! I like the blue color and the shape of the humidifier. It’s the perfect size. I need to refill the tank roughly every 6.5 hours on low-medium setting, which is perfect for a night’s sleep. This little humidifier is a life saver! I can now breath again and my skin isn’t cracking and peeling. Great value for the money. I’ll probably buy a second one for my other room.
