I put one on the door of my food trailer to keep flies out however the air does not push down far enough or hard enough even on high to keep them out. Pretty useless for anything other than a breeze to keep me cool on a hot day.

Great unit….nice and powerful, keep the bugs out of our store while saving us money on heating and cooling cost.

The unit was well packaged, arrived very quickly and was easy to install. It seems to make a difference in keeping most of the room warmer except for the area right across from it – which seems to get a draft of cold air several seconds after the “whoosh” of air stops, and that was the area we were largely concerned about. We don’t think it’s a reflection on the effectiveness of the unit but we think it’s just because it’s a smaller space – and with the problem of having a cold spot directly across from the door – perhaps the unit is actually a bit too powerful for the space. We’re keeping it because we believe it will help a great deal keeping the heat and bugs out in the summer (our office is on a farm). Just a heads-up if you have a smaller or narrow space, this might not be the perfect solution if you’re trying to keep cold out directly across from the door, although it will help with the rest of the room.

This thing is AWESOME!! It works better than air conditioner units I have purchased and costs much less. I put it at the entrance to my salon because we are basically in a warehouse and it is impossible to keep cool. Most of the time I leave it running continuously and it feels like a tornado. (and that’s on low). My only complaint is that it is LOUD, like REALLY loud. My shop is small so maybe that is why, but that is the only thing I would change about it. I had 3 customers get the info on it the first day they came in because of how good they worked. One ordered it on amazon as she was waiting in the reception area.

This unit is part of our fight with bugs, especially mosquitoes. Where we live mosquitoes intrude into our home and brutalize my family. We use a combination of bed nets, electric bug traps, and now this beauty of an air curtain. Currently we have it over our garage door and linked with the included door switch and it works incredibly well. Even on the low setting (2 settings, Hi and Low), the air flow is great. But there are some things to consider. This is not a whisper quiet unit and even on low you can hear it doing its work. Also with the door switch there is a slight delay in activation so in areas with lots of insects a slow first pull to activate the unit helps before opening the door fully. Finally, not all doorways are amenable to installation of this unit. Our front door is very high and has a narrow space upon which the metal brace/foundation has be affixed, but I have not found a way to do this yet. Further because the front door swings inward the included door switch will not work without additional parts. I would love to get another unit over my front door, so if the sellers can include those parts or at least point to where they can be obtained easily, that would help get more units sold and installed! I would still have to solve the issue of the narrow top of our tall front door though …

This works but it is a pain to install. Definitely a two person job! That being said I will be ordering another for the door going into the garage add on.
We have goats and the neighbor has cows so flies are a part of life. Between this and fly predators we are rarely seeing a fly on the house and if we do it’s from the door without the fan curtain!

Well made, easy to install and effective. Keeps the cold air outside while staff are unloading trucks. Works well on doors that open outward.

Hung over a 36” model door. Turns on and off automatically or you can choose to not use mag switch and control only when you want it on with rocker switch. A little noisy but this volume of airflow will always make noise. Has two speeds to set switch for automatic or manual at high or low speed on the rocker. Huge difference in temperature if you stand in doorway can feel different temps from either side of the doorway. Plus works awesome to cool down a bit when you come in from long day of work in hot sun.

The unit appears well built, was easy to install and came with a heavy duty door switch.
Compared to some of the comments I read it runs quieter than I expected. The restaurant owner where I installed it said:”compared to the one it replaced it didn’t make any noise.”
Even with installing a small junction box so I could wire the short pigtail to the door switch, soldering ring connectors to the wires for the door switch and hard wiring the cord to the existing line, it only took about 2 hrs. and $10 for materials.
