Disappointed that this unit would not power on. Cannot review. One star reflects receiving the inoperative unit. As it never worked, I can’t speak to functionality.

I like this product because it lasts longer than the smaller rechargeable ones I’ve used.
I don’t like:
– Uses batteries vs rechargeable
– Puts out way less ozone than then the smaller options (could be good or bad, idk how much you need it to work and how much is too much)

Devices like this do very well at reducing the orders and food wasted in a refrigerator. The ionization seems to negate/reduce enzymes that cause produce to ripen and then rot in addition to reducing general odors.
This one works different from others I have – instead of activating when the door is closed (a light sensor tells it to start) this one has a standard mode and a “turbo mode” that you select by pressing the single control button. Turbo helps clear out nasty odors and the regular mode lets the device cycle off and on to maintain freshness.
The choice to use disposable batteries is a negative for me. Granted – you can still use rechargeable (I tried them and they work) but I would have preferred a simple plug-in cable. Still, this isn’t a deal-breaker.
At $50 MSRP this isn’t a bad option but there are others that do the same for less. At the current $19 price point it is a worthwhile purchase.
