Ordered replacement for non working unit. We will see how the replacement unit does. If it works, wonderful but if not, then I want a refund. Update: Aug. 20 th 2023. Replacement unit works very well.

I purchased this to heat a small bedroom (9′ x 9′) that my husband renovated for my mother when we moved her in with us after she received very poor care at a local nursing home. My husband tested it before using it in her room and unfortunately the thermostat on it is useless. He set it for low heat (600 watts) and turned the thermostat to the lowest setting as well (the point where it just turns on). The heater ran non-stop for more than half an hour and the room was nearly 80 degrees. He then turned the heat setting to high for a while but still the heater never shut off. Again, this was with the thermostat at the lowest possible position. He finally gave up and tilted the heater to test the auto shut off (that’s how I know the tip-over feature works) and unplugged it. As it is the heater is usable (if you stay in the room with it and awake) but I would never trust it to run any other way. Only thing good I can say is the heater puts out a decent amount of heat for it’s size and the tip-over shut off feature does work. Too late to return it as there was a delay in getting my Mom here and now it is past the return window. Maybe we got a dud by my personal recommendation is to avoid this one.

We use this heater to make the bathroom a little warmer. The old one failed after getting clogged with hair (daughters) after 10+ years. Still don’t understand the point of the “Green” setting. Just lower heat output? Why? If I can get the hair out of the motor, I’ll then have two great little heaters.

My first favorite thing about this heater is how quiet it really is! It’s a great heater and performs very well. I really like the automatic shut off feature. This has really been a good little heater.

…I guess you get what you pay for and this heater is acceptable for only $27. These type heaters often last just a year, so I’ll spend a little more next time. I hate making them landfill but could not fix my last 2 that died. Holmes used to make a great version of this that lasted years but not anymore.

This heater puts out alot of heat. It warms my 10 x 12 living room really well. However, one thing is really tricky, which is setting the auto on/off thermostat. Once you plug it in and set to low, high or energy save settings, turn the thermostat knob all the way to the right (clockwise), which is max heat. Once the room is comfortable to you, turn the thermostat knob to the left (counter clockwise until you hear a click). The unit will then turn off. The unit will then automatically turn back on when the room temp falls below your set temp. A digital wall thermostat can help you with this. In my case my room temp showed 66. I started the heater at max until my wall thermostat read 68 then I turned the knob to the left until it clicked. When my wall thermostat read 67, the heater turned back on until the room got to 68 then off again. The only complaint I have is the support phone number listed in the instructions is not a working number.
