My dad has fish tanks all around our house, and sometimes the amount of tanks in the basement will hold moisture, and this compact dehumidifier has changed our lives. It is very easy to set up and the hose is constantly working to ensure no humidity and the disgusting mugginess is gone. Basement trips to get supplies is better now that I know that the air is dry. It was very easy to set up and I cannot wait to see the difference long-term. It makes for my health.

I got this unit for the pump feature for our basement because we don’t have any drains down there and constantly emptying a bucket was becoming a challenge. This sits on a shelf and the hose drains out an opening we had put in a small window. At first it leaked all over out the bottom—- it turns out there’s a small (dime sized) black rubber plug that either fell out of the unit during transit or needs to be installed (with no mention of that in the instructions and requires the whole metal cover to be removed) which caused the leak. Fortunately we hadn’t thrown out the packing contents so found it loose in the box. Once put in place the unit has worked like a charm. I particularly like the small footprint so it doesn’t take up a lot of space. Our installer who set up the drain hose through the window is now going to buy one for his home after seeing this one in action.

Quiet and strong airflow. Very heavy duty feel to it. Exhaust air isn’t as hot as other units. Would recommend sizing up if your doing a whole home interior. But for crawl spaces and attics this is perfect. Easy to gravity plumb, also has built in automatic pump if needed to lift water. Much better than the noisy, plastic GE it’s replacing.

….. working better than I was expecting I have it set to 50% and within a couple hours of setting it up it took it from 77 to 70. I’ll give another update in a few weeks but I’m impressed so far.
I love there are options… you can hang it and let the water drain out or just sit it on the floor and pump the water out; so one can make it work for any space. While it is heavy it’s not bulky. I have a small crawl space and it fit with ease.
