This heater puts out a lot of heat and does it very quickly. It’s controlled by pull-string. The power cord is 6′ long and easily reached my wall outlet. It is perfect over my workbench. If you are installing it across ceiling joists, you will likely have to use a board to span the distance between them and mount the heater to the board [because the heater’s left and right mounting holes are @13 1/8″ and 15 1/8″ apart, which may be a little narrow]. If you’re going to mount the heater along a single ceiling joist, then you just bolt it on. This heater suits my needs in all ways. It seems well made and, in my opinion, it’s a good value. I recommend it.

This is a really easy and convenient way for me to add heat to my garage space so I can work on my projects as the weather gets colder. This unit has an included mount and a pull-cord which makes it much better than the similar products I purchased for my deck, which did not include brackets and don’t even have a power switch! I am thinking of replacing the two units on my deck inside my pergola with two of these since they work great and are much more convenient to use!

I got this for my spouse who spends a lot of time outside in our garage which is a two-car garage but has pretty much become a workshop over the years. He’s only had to use it a few times so far but it definitely warms up any area that he’s in and you can feel the difference the minute you walk inside the garage if it’s cold out. It doesn’t seem to be affecting our electricity bill very much so that’s a massive bonus.

Right out of the box, one of the heating elements won’t come on. I tried all four settings, and only one element and the light turned on. Regardless, it does give off a lot of heat. It is lightweight and that’s good, since you will be hanging it from the ceiling. It is simple to assemble, but it feels cheaply made. I’m looking forward to using it in my garage.
Update: The seller did offer me a full refund, which I cannot accept. However, this makes me feel like the seller would offer this to anyone else who experienced an issue with the heater.

Patio heater arrived well packed. Only one minor bracket needed to be assembled with two simple screws. It is easy to hang at any length if you use a chain (not provided). I purchased an $0.95 eye bolt for use on the center hole of the mounting bracket so that it was balanced when hung from the ceiling of my gazebo. It has a variety of mounting options and can be hung numerous ways.
All controls for the heating and light worked and the pull string changed to different settings. Heat seemed very good but I have yet to try it when it gets rather cold.
It might be nice to have a longer cord but the cord reached to where I needed it. It can easily be a 5 star but the important factor of durability is not yet available as it is newly installed. At least a year of durability would be my standard for completing this review and giving it a top 5 star rating.

If you’ve got some space you avoid in the colder months, this will give you back use of that space! And it works great.
This is nice and sturdy and durable. It is quite well made.
You can easily mount this using the pivoting bracket included. In fact, I had it up in (maybe) 5 minutes after it was out of the box.
I wish I’d thought to get one of these several years ago.

One thing I like about this is it projects heat in the direction it is facing. You can control the heat setting by pulling the screen. I think this is because they don’t want you putting your hand anywhere near it while it is on, lol.
The power cord is not super long, so you’ll want this near an outlet. I’m running an outlet to the final location of the heater. Looking forward to the winter months so we can enjoy the back patio without freezing.
*5 stars. My only suggestion to the seller/manufacturer would be to make this smart with Wifi or Bluetooth.
