A year ago I bought a couple dehumidifiers on Amazon, it was some unknown brand called Airgjob. I paid almost $450 total and they both stopped working within a month. However, I didn’t use the units right after I bought them, so they sat around for a few months and so I started using them and then after 3 or 4 weeks of use that is when they ended up not pulling water out of the air. I contacted their customer service and they had one fake websiteand after a few questions thankfully they refunded both of them. I think they know they were garbage.
So in March of this year when the air conditioning needs to start to work, I saw this on sale for $220. I knew the Frigidaire Brand is extremely reliable and I’ve had a refrigerator of theirs that have lasted almost 20 years and still working like it’s new. I run it about 8 hours a day on the maximum high air output and at the coldest setting. The bucket is full at the end of 8 hours. I’ve done that for almost 5 months now and it’s works excellent. I’m so sold on the performance that I bought two more of these units, only with the most recent so which is $229. I got the 3-year warranty as a just in case. Dehumidifiers aren’t known to be machines that last and extremely long time, but I’ve read reviews that some people have used theirs for 8 years or more. Hopefully these will do the same! Just don’t forget to wash the filter in the back. The only downside is it continually runs air even though it’s met the humidity requirement. So it may be more expensive on the electric bill, but it’s been a solid performing unit and I really have no complaints. If you need to run it 24/7, perhaps get two units and then use the auto shut off after a certain amount of hours. And have the other one automatically turn on after a number of hours. It automatically stops when the bucket gets full of water. If it runs non-stop with a continual drain, there might be a risk of the compressor just burning out without a rest. Which would be ideal if you had two units to give each other a break.

The unit works extremely well as advertised. The only small issues are the price, water bucket is a bit cumbersome and the compressor is a bit noisy though the noise isn’t really that much of an issue as we use it in the basement.

I replace my humidifier every 3-4 years or so. This one is awesome. Simple controls and quiet. The feature I like the most is the WiFI. I can schedule it to turn off during periods of electricity peak pricing.

Doesn’t work in England as it’s got different plug but doesn’t tell you that on the site.

I’ve had this dehumidifier running in the basement of my split-level for about a week now. It works well to keep the humidity down and the bucket is very easy to empty, but I really don’t like how loud the fan is. Even on low, it’s loud to the point where we have to shut it off to watch TV or have a quiet conversation. The compressor noise is barely noticable over the sound of the loud blower fan. This unit would be fine in a traditional unfinished basement, but in a split like ours where we have actual finished living area in the basement, it’s just too much noise.

I replaced a Whirlpool unit that just was too loud. This one is fairly quiet but you do hear the fan noise predominantly. It works great. I feel like these things only last 2-3 years. but time will tell. I like that this has a cleanable filter. It definitely works but the tank gets full of water in just 24 hours. Dumping out the water is a pain. I do like the handle it has to make carrying easier. You are best if you can hook up the garden hose to it and empty in a floor drain. Any other drain location, ie. sink, will need the pump model. I should note that the Frigidaire box I received this in was banged up to hell but thankfully nothing was damaged.

We bought this as our old one stopped working.
So far, nearly a month on it has been working perfectly.
We bought the hose with this and it drains off.
Neat machine and runs constantly.
We are glad we chose this one, due to the reviews.

Quality, functions well, quiet, nice size, easy to empty, does not throw heat , perfect styling, nice length cord, holds a lot of water in the tank, auto shut off when full, protection against freezing, handles a large room in our basement and a great value. This is the third one we have purchased for various locations over a number of years. They are very durable. Best dehumidifiers we have ever used! 🥇🏆

Initially, the appliance appeared to be in working order, however the pump that pumps water via a hose to a drain, allowing the dehumidifier to be used constantly without the need to empty the bucket, failed after only two weeks of use. Amazon delivered the appliance to my rural Ontario home via UPS, but left it up to me to manage the return of this big and cumbersome equipment. I have to drop it off at the nearest Canada Post or UPS drop off location, both of which are approximately 35 kilometres from my residence. There were no pick-up options from my house. Overall, this is a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend purchasing this humidifier or any other larger equipment from Amazon.

So first, as a humidifier Frigidaire are generally just good devices. That being said we’ve gone through several through the years. They all seem to end up failing at some point and the thing just ices up. My assumption is that over time sensors just go bad and I’m not familiar enough with them in order to try to repair. I’ve done some Googling and never really came up with anything.
But so far so good I’ve had this for several months and this is working fine. At a minimum I expect 3-5 years out of it as that’s what I’ve seen out of the others. And it mostly runs continuously outside of winter months in our basement.
The app works well and will notify you with a push notification when the bucket is full, or filter needs cleaned, or any other issue. The only thing is, the notification is weird. Within the app it basically puts a red triangle with a ! in the middle of it making it look like there’s something that’s gone wrong with it. Rather than just a simple bucket dump. But you can control all aspects of this humidifier through the app. Timers, child locks, status light, target humidity, different modes/fan speeds, the humidity level. The only thing that’s missing IMO is maybe a gauge for how full the bucket is.

After recent heavy rains our basement experienced a lot of moisture and mildew. This humidifier worked like a charm removing the moisture and eliminating the odor coming from the mildew. We hooked it up on a counter emptying into a sink. At first it ran almost 24/7 setting it at 60% humidity. It now runs occasionally. Definitely recommend this product.
