I knew the compressor would be loud soo it was not suprise, that is the downside with poratble ac units like this. But other that it has been able to cool my room and keep it at a constant 70f. My advice for anyone worrying about the amount of water it produces, get a 5 gallon water jug for camping, I don’t have to worry about emptying it that often.
One thing I did not account for when getting this unit was closing my window blinds. Specifically windows that open horizontally as it attaches in the middle and since my window blinds are vertical I have to warp them to fit around that hose attachment.
The last thing I want to mention is the fact when the compressor starts (the ac is in it’s own outlet) it likes to make my battery backup I use to run my network equipment in my office freakout, again this is an isolated incident so you are most likely not going to encouter this. The video demonstrates that.
I will update this review as I use this unit proggresively.

We bought for my daughters house when we visit in Orlando. Mostly the weather is HOT there. This unit really cools down the room upstairs that we stay in. Don’t know what we would do with out it.

This AC is wonderful and keeps the space very cold.

I just got this air conditioner installed and up and running before the weather turned really hot and I’m so glad I did! This my be my smartest purchase of the year. My small living room gets insufferably hot during July and August. Last summer was awful. This summer I got smart and decided to invest in a portable air conditioner. In my case, having the air conditioner out in the living area works far better than having one in a window. I can easily position the unit to blow cool air near me or even on me.
The controls are easy and the noise, although very audible, is not annoying. It is the sound of cool in the summer. The controls are very accessible and easy to use. The window insert is a bit flimsy in my opinion, but it is also very versatile. There are instructions to guide the buyer through the installation process. It was slow going for me for a while, but I’m so glad it got this running and cooling me off just in time.

Thus was my second one I purchased. First one was thru Lowes. Barely lasted the summer in 2022. Had a terrible time to get reimburse. Many calls, many days, many phone numbers, many different replies to this issue. Finally, to get reimburse I had to purchase a new GE AC in so many days and show my receipt to get a refund from GE. Ok, that was a fluke. Never had a AC die so soon. Always had good luck.
Used my funds to buy the same floor model from Amazon late 2022 since it was late in the year and Lowes did not have any floor models. This one lasted the summer months in 2023. Now today, 2024 beginning of the season for AC, the unit dies. Froze over and spits out water. Since its a floor model, its not moved. No issue getting my money back thru Amazon. I will never by a GE again. Terrible ACs and terrible customer service.
Now it’s back to a store and find a new AC floor model soon.

Product is small and cooled my room fast. However when we first hooked it up it was quite and as the night went on it got louder and louder. Now it sounds like the fan in it is gonna gibe out at any minute. It also will shut off randomly to help keep the unit from freezing but doesn’t always turn back on. For the money I expected better quality. It was easy to install and pretty light, but im worries about it breaking down and it’s been less then 24 hours. We put this unit in our room and I suggest if you get it don’t put it somewhere if you plan on sleeping there…

This air conditioner worked great, It blew cold air very quick and the remote was nice two. How ever there was two reasons for my return. One, the noise. I knew going into it that it would not be quiet but wow it’s like an industrial fan. And second and my main reason for the return, the attachment to the window. I feel as though I have a pretty common window, and for this to be this awful is incredible. One the part was broken on delivery, but even if it wasn’t it wouldn’t connect in the slightest. It had massive gaps around the outsides and was a thin piece of plastic that would move back and fourth to accommodate different sized windows. How ever this movement made the connection to the window even worse. It came with foam strips to cover the gaps, however this would do little to nothing to weather proof or even stop heat coming in. This one part of this 200$ machine was made in the cheapest way possible, ruining the entire thing and again was the cause of my return.

Unit cools 225 square feet very well. Duct work difficult to attach, will not stay attached without use of duct tape. Filters somewhat hard to remove and reinstall.
