This air purifier is a good unit. The amount of air it moves is impressive for its size, it’s easy to control and see the air quality status, and it includes a UV-C light for another layer of protection.
The air quality sensor does not work! It is not nearly as sensitive / accurate as the one found in the similar Shark purifier. I can light a cigarette and the Shark adjust quickly while this Germ Guardian stays green the entire time. If the air quality sensor / auto mode is important to you look for a different air purifier. I’m disappointed because I wanted to like this unit since it includes a much stronger fan and UV-C light that the Shark unit does not include. The air quality sensor being faulty makes this a return item, and not something I can currently recommended.
Now the things I think they could do better in a future version are 1) an illuminated touch screen control panel (like the similar shark purifier) 2) include a more sensitive air quality sensor with detailed data visible on the control panel (once again look at the similar Shark model)

She who must be obeyed really likes this rig! Set it up in our living where the dogs play, one big and one little, keeps the air fresh. Was a good purchase.

I really like the setup process for this air purifier, you literally just take it out of the box, place it where you want it to go, plug it in and turn it on. Some air purifiers require you to install the air filter and others have it installed already but with plastic wrapped around the filter, which makes the setup process take longer. This is really easy to use, it has two buttons on the top, one cycles through the fan settings- auto, low, med, high, and night mode (for quiet operation when you’re sleeping), the other button resets the UV-C light which sanitizes the air filter. I haven’t needed to use that button yet, so I’m not exactly sure how you’re meant to know when to press it.
The fan is quiet in auto/low/med/night modes, it only gets relatively louder in the high setting. There is a light on the front of the air purifier that tells you the present quality of the air in your environment. This is not an indicator of when to change the filter, rather an indicator of how clean or dirty the air around the filter is, if it’s in auto mode, it will adjust its operation to attempt to counteract unclean air by spinning the fan faster, resulting in more air being cleaned in the same amount of time.
I live in a smaller sized house with two cats and two dogs and there are a lot of trees and plants in my yard, pet dander, pollen, and dust are the biggest reasons that I wanted this. I can already notice a big difference in how much easier it is to breathe through my nose, it’s not semi-stopped up like has been all spring and I have only used it for two full days so far. I have tried cheaper air purifiers before, this one is noticeably better than my previous one which was only about half the price of this germ guardian. I can say yet how long the filter will last, it only comes with one filter sadly. The included one is the HEPA Pure yellow one shown in the photos.

This is my third air purifier for my house. I put this one in my smaller room. It’s been working pretty well.
I thought there was something wrong with it because I didn’t see anything other than green for a long time, but then I did a test and I finally saw the orange and the red lights.
This one is much smaller than the other two, but it’s good for my room. It doesn’t have a handle or anything to let you move it. Also, it’s not easy to get to the filter, sensor.
Overall, it’s a decent air purifier.

Only level 3 (the high setting) it moves a lot of air, but is extremely loud.
There’s a sleep button that you need to use for bedrooms.
If you hit the sleep button the light turns off and it goes to level 1 speed.
The light is extremely bright, so you can’t sleep with level 2 or level 3 speeds, since hitting sleep mode reverts it to level 1.
