There are reviews which speak to the plastic materials used for this. True, it’s got a plastic window & plastic parts. But it’s lightweight, looks so great (I got white) & it’s small, so it fits in my space well. I never even need to use the higher setting. Level One is warm enough for me. Super cozy. Great value!!

This was the perfect size and a really pretty fireplace. I am not sure how this can be sold. I don’t know where you can put it and it be safe. The heat comes out of the bottom and it sits pretty low to the floor. If you put it on your wood floor in a bedroom, the wood floor gets incredibly hot. If you put it up on a dresser or bookshelf, it gets incredibly hot underneath and so does whatever it is sitting on. I don’t know why the heat does not come out of the top, but I am scared to use this and keep it on for more than about 20 minutes.

I ended up sorting through a bunch of portable fireplace listings, it seems anything 17″ or larger they make in floor models, anything smaller seem to be table models. so I wanted one of the smallest floor models because I wanted an inexpensive fireplace for our RV. It’s actually perfect. Has option to just have the flames but no heat which Is mostly what I was after for our RV, really needed for ambiance. It had a 750watt setting which blows nice warm air and a full 1500watt. I’ve had wood heat most of my life and wanted to feel the comfort of a wood stove in our RV but didn’t want to actually have one installed somewhere and take up space. This is compact and I’m probably gonna use it in my bedroom when we’re not traveling. No Remote but 3 easy switches on the side for easy operation, ambiance is perfect, size small for my RV is also perfect and now it’s gonna live in the house when we’re not RVing. Everything is metal except the legs. Legs are super sturdy and easy to screw onto the unit. Compact and at this size could be a table model or a floor model. This is an 18″ model and I’d buy one this size again.

I use this cute heater in my bedroom. It has my room warmed up in no time and the look of the fireplace makes my room very comfy and cozy. So far, I’m really impressed.

***It is entirely plastic except for the mechanism inside. No Remote came with it, but with the switches on the side I doubt it was ever designed for a remote. You need a child’s hands to get the legs on the thing or you have to take the heater off and then put them on. The pane of glass is plexiglass at best. It smelled of burnt plastic the first time I used it, but after I broke it in the garage for 30 minutes, I never smelled the plastic again. My family is very happy with it, as it is light weight, and it follows them all around the house. It does the job of heating the room with the added benefit of a cozy light show. This might not last a long time, but at this price we assume nothing less than a few years of use at most. Looks Great! ***
We moved to a new house and we needed a small heater for general use around the house. More importantly so I could have the Christmas tree and open presents in the 3 seasons room with the windows shut and not freeze to death.
It arrived before Christmas which was lovely and it was ordered on very short notice.

I purchased white fireplace on Black Friday sale. It’s freakin cute. Fire looks real, and 2 heater makes my room warm enough for FL winter. I don’t turn on my central heater. This fire place works enough for my living room.
