I am not sure how we are supposed to know if this is working or not? Should there be sound? There is no sound. The border light around the unit is flickering. I placed the set of two in an extra bedroom that houses my husky’s kennel. After a full 12hrs of use, I notice no difference. Instructions were not very clear and in broken English.
I will follow up in a day or two and revise my rating should I notice a difference.

This is a good small plug in ionizer. It cheap, portable, quiet, and most importantly, works reliably. This alone won’t filter out everything, but this along with a good air filter will help a lot with improving air quality.

I had to chuckle when someone said this releases a “staggering” 10 million ions.
First, read the small print. It says anywhere between 40,000 to 10 million ions.
Second, even if we accept the high end of their estimate (10 million), it’s nothing. A decent air purifier will release 3 trillion ions per second.
So this produces 300,000X fewer ions than a decent air purifier. . .or, 1/300,000th.
Another reference point – 1 trillion ions can fit inside an atom. They are very small.
And the wattage should tell you that it’s not producing much – just 2 watts per hour.
Yes this device does release a few ions. But this is barely enough for a small closet.
So to explain more about ionizers:
This is commonly confused for ozone, but it’s different. Ozone is a gas – ozone machines convert O2 to O3 (oxygen to ozone). This does a great job at disinfection and a million other uses, but it’s not breathable. If you have an air purifier with ozone you need to leave the house when the ozone is turned on.
Then, air purifiers often have filters – this little thing does NOT have a filter. And finally, air purifiers sometimes have a sanitizing UV light – and again, this little thing does NOT do that either.
This simply releases anions (negative ions). They have a fresh smell to it (think of ocean breeze or mountain air), and they bond with dust particles so the dust falls to the ground and doesn’t linger in the air. It doesn’t disinfect or anything like that. And if you live near the beach, in the mountains, or anywhere else with a lot of negative ions, an ionizer will have absolutely zero benefit to you.
I’m in the midwest, where dust is a problem, and a good iionizer is really the best thing for dust. Again, it won’t purify the air – it just neutralizes the dust, which falls to the ground. You’ll notice a lot more dust on your tables etc – and it’s much better to wipe off your surfaces than to breathe the dust.
However, this little device just doesn’t do much. Maybe you could put 2 or 3 in a small bathroom. It does work, but you’re probably better off investing in a real ionizer.

I recently tried the Ionizer Air Purifier
* The feature of this air purifier is its ability to release a staggering 10,000,000 negative ions per second.
* The Ionizer Air Purifier operates at an impressively low noise level of below 20 dB-Whisper-Quiet
* Odors, dust, and dander that typically lingered in the air have dissipated significantly
* Filterless design
The Ionizer Air Purifier is an effective and efficient solution for enhancing air quality in any setting. Its compact design, quiet operation, energy efficiency, and maintenance-free filterless function make it a top choice for those serious about improving their living or working environment.
Notes-
This unit is small and its output is rather weak in terms of detectable efficiency. It seems to be working and unlike a major Ionizer, this small unit may take a bit longer to do its job of ionization. Despite this, I detect a fresher kitchen and with another unit, the bathroom will benefit also.
Rated 5 stars for freshness.

This little device plugs into the wall and lights up. Aside from that, there are no other signs that it is working. No sound or air flow. It has been plugged into my wall for a few hours now, but I honestly have no idea if there is any difference. There isn’t a changeable filter that you can look as the whole thing is one solid piece. I do appreciate that it leaves the other outlet free, but wish it had a swivel so I can put it right-side-up in my up-side-down outlet.

I placed this in the bathroom and it felt like the air was a little cleaner. The bathroom is extremely quiet so the buzzing noise from this device was annoying. Today the living room needed some freshening up so I placed this device in the living room. It definitely made the stink go away and the buzzing noise was not noticeable as I was watching TV. I have sensitive hearing though so it’s hard for me to say if this is really quiet or not. The blue light on this device gives it a nice calming feeling.
