I installed this AC in my pre-existing sleeve, and it was very simple. However, I didn’t find the instruction booklet until after I had installed it because they’re kind of hidden in the packaging. Make sure you look all over for the instructions. Also, please note that the power saver mode makes a HUGE difference in how cold the air it blows is. With power saver on it often just feels like the unit is blowing regular air. Power saver defaults to on when you plug it in for the first time.
A couple things to note–you must ground this unit to the sleeve. Two screws and a grounding wire are provided, but I had to drill a hole in the metal sleeve to create a spot for the grounding wire. I’m not sure how necessary it is, but we have a lot of lightning where I live so I don’t want to find out the hard way. Secondly, this unit must have a slight upward tilt. I did this by using one of the long, skinny, blue foam blocks that came with the unit and placing it under the middle of the unit in the front, directly behind the black insulation foam. Works like a charm, but the tilt causes the AC’s decorative frame to not fit snugly to the wall. Lastly, be very careful when you’re putting the frame together, because it’s not designed to come apart again. I recommend looking up a tutorial video if you can’t find the instruction booklet.
I’ll update the review if anything changes.

My air conditioner was severely damaged during shipping. I was required to send pictures to show the damage, and they promptly sent me a new air conditioner. I was very pleased with this very easy to work with great company. my new air conditioner was easy to install and it works as it should.

The vents rattle and the air filter shakes and vibrates. I have to wedge a whole sticky note pad under the vents to tighten the fit and stop the annoying rattling noise. The filter vibrates and makes noise. I have to wedge furniture pads in the space to hold the filter in place. The manufacturer sent me another filter to try but it makes the same sound. These are ill fitting parts. I purchased this air conditioner in October at the end of the warm season and I was looking forward to using the brand new air conditioner as soon as the weather got hot as it did this week. I am so stressed trying all sorts of DYI solutions to make it quiet.
It does not work well on the auto setting it keeps running and never seems to achieve the set temperature. When first turned on it is so loud it sounds like a revving engine . It never quiets down to an acceptable humming sound. This AC is torture. I hate the idea of having to shop for another air conditioner to replace this one. I hope I can return it and get a refund

My rating would be 5/5 for the A/C unit alone, particularly given the reasonable cost per BTU compared with it’s competitors. It blows cold and is effectively cooling a complex-shaped open kitchen/living room/hallway area of about 550-600sqft with high ceilings. It is significantly cooler than a 12,000 BTU unit from another brand. Only problem – it arrived with a large fist-sized dent in the right side of the unit. The packing of the unit was not sufficiently robust for the weight of the unit. This does not seem to have impacted installation or performance to date, but certainly is a concern.

Looks nice installed. It cools for sure. Strong. But loud. And on lowest speed. Very disappointed. Would think a new a/c to be quieter.
I also note flimsy plastic trim.
And the filter is difficult to pull out.
Wasn’t familiar with company name.

These are not window a/c units. They are designed for the through the wall metal sleeve.
We had a window type in our sleeve because we didn’t know any better. It did work, just not real well. Used a lot of electricity too!
This is the right unit for our installation & the largest one that will fit. It does a great job & uses less electricity.
This is a 220 volt plug in (like an electric dryer or stove has) will not plug into the standard American 110/120 volt receptacle.

Fit my existing sleeve and is effective and efficient. A little loud but whatever. It works well.

14000BTU. wow, this baby will cool. even our kitchen- living room with a shared pointed ceiling. 25×25. this is the wall mount, not window. . (on a dedicated circuit) the controls are different from our old GE, so just read the instructions. the ONLY thing i dont like is the speed high, medium, and low. there is not a lot of difference between them. it seems like high all the time. we bought a unit from somewhere .10000 BTU, 110v. no way, couldn’t cool enough and it was 200 dollars more than this unit. 220v is the way to go. i dont know how much energy it uses, hey it’s an air conditioner, they all use a lot.
