With stuffy noses this past winter, humidifiers were a must to get some sleep. I bought one, and loved it so much I bought a second one the next day. The light feature is great for kids – the transition colors are awesome, and it’s a great night light. The hum is soft and not annoying. It’s easy to fill, easy to clean, and easy to use.

Levoit replaced the product at no additional cost. The issues with the original product are not a problem. I will update accordingly if that changes.
Suggestion for potential buyers: Immediately test the tank for leaks. It’s a good product if you get one that is not faulty.

Positives
The humidifier is easy to use and works well (before the base overflows due to a tank leak from a faulty seal/spring mechanism).
Issues
– The product is reasonably quiet but there is a whine to it. You may get used it over time but there’s definitely an odd pitched sound.
Critical Issues
– The water tank leaks. I added a cup of water to the tank and let it sit on the counter for 10 minutes. At least a tablespoon of water had leaked out. This explains how the base chamber overflowed over time. I did not notice this for some time as the leak is slow and under normal operation just enough water is consumed.
– The customer support form on the Levoit website does not work! I do not wish to track them down via social media but it may be the only alternative.
I will adjust my review if/when Levoit responds to this issue.

So I usually prefer something warm mist instead of cool mist during the winter, and for some reason I thought this was warm mis. It’s cool mist. Usually I’d worry about mold in cold water, but I’ve been using those little cleaning balls with the beads in them, and that has helped. So far no mold.
This helps me so much with breathing when the air gets dry here, and I just turn on the space heater when I turn the humidifier on to keep things warm.
It’s quiet, no obnoxious lights, holds a lot of water, stays clean, and produces a lot of mist for a good long while (at least 12 hours it seems like). Definitely happy with this purchase.

I was looking for a humidifier that didn’t have a lot of bells and whistles (I don’t need a bright, digital display or a humidity sensor that’s never really accurate anyway), but one that did have a large tank I wouldn’t have to constantly refill (and it’s nice to be able to actually see the water level, unlike some), a rotating nozzle so I could control the direction of the mist, and a good design that looked sleek and modern. This model from Levoit perfectly fit the bill. I like that I can see it working, and it puts out a lot of mist; the tank lasts a shockingly long time, even on max. Biggest pro for me: I love that I can just lift the lid and refill the tank! No underside knobs to try to unscrew with wet hands, struggling to fit the tank under a faucet (though you can refill it that way, thanks to large carrying handles built into the sides.) I don’t use distilled water as it recommends (who has the budget for that?), but I do use filtered water from my pitcher (you know the one) that I just bring over and pour, and it seems to work just fine – no white dust anywhere, and it sits on a black table. The only thing, unless I missed it, is that I wish it expressly noted it uses a filter you have to eventually replace. I would prefer one that’s filter-less that I can just clean myself with vinegar or something, but even the added expense of replacement filters is worth the ease and aesthetics this humidifier provides. My otherwise dry eyes, nose and skin in my radiator-heated home can definitely tell a difference!

I have really enjoyed my humidifier since I bought it. This is the first time I’ve really invested any money in a good humidifier, and I was pleased with how it ran. It looks nice, has a large enough tank for me, and keeps my plants happy. I have been thinking of buying 1-2 more to spread throughout my apartment.
However, I went to clean and descale my humidifier yesterday. I had to really take it apart to get all the scale off, since we have really hard water. Vinegar, a washcloth, paper towels, and q-tips did work fairly well to get it clean, but it was a long process. And by the end of it, the transducer plate was broken! I’ve now opened up the humidifier and removed the pieces of the transducer plate and the attached wires, and I’m really surprised by how fragile it is– it doesn’t surprise me that it broke as I was putting the humidifier back together. The humidifier now doesn’t work, water leaks down into the base anyways, and a search for a new transducer hasn’t turned anything up– it would be nice if there were replacement parts I could order, as it isn’t a complicated repair. I’m now trying to put the plate back together with some E6000, but I doubt this will work.
I’ll be getting in touch with the company to see if I can get a replacement part, and will update my review accordingly.
