Two reviews, unit and seller.
First the unit, it does just what it says. I’m using it in a 40×60 barn in 30 degree weather. Setting the thermostat at 60 degrees it brought the temperature up in about a half hour to a reasonable working condition. Setting it higher does warm the work area but it also consumes much more fuel. I started it on diesel since I have a lot of it available to me and it worked just fine. It does send a plume of smoke out on startup and restart and ventilation is a must, you can smell and see the fumes very soon after it starts so proper ventilation is not only necessary for the unit but also for your own health. Having it in a closed area could be deadly.
Weight, this thing is heavy when filled with fuel, 13 gallons of diesel along with the weight of the unit makes it very heavy if you have the occasion to lift it up. All together this unit does a good job, well designed and well made and a bargain at the price for much smaller units. It does use a lot of fuel but at the same time it’s a 215btu unit so you should expect to have a lot of fuel available to you if you use it a lot.

Well made, it does appear to be designed for the consumer to use easily

Uses a lot of fuel, but you should know that since it is a big unit
Filling tank, I never did understand why they don’t put the fill cap farther out, it would make it much easier to fill without spilling fuel. Seems like all of them are made this way, it’s impossible to get a funnel into the tank because it hits the side of the unit and just falls over. It’s fine if you’re using a tank with a hose but if you are using a tank without one it’s next to impossible to get the fuel in without hitting the side of the unit and spilling fuel onto the unit.
Drain plug. It seems to be in an inconvenient place more towards the wheels making it hard to get a pan close enough to drain it and made of rubber that will deteriorate over time, they do include another in the packaging and I’m sure you will end up needing it.It also includes an extra fuse, just in case.
Thermostat is not accurate, it can be as much as 10 degrees off, setting at 70 doesn’t mean the area will be 70. The ambient temperature around the unit will rise after it shuts down but if you include the ventilation around the unit it will have an effect on the actual temperature.
The add for this unit is completely wrong, the tank is only 13 gallons, the wheels are plastic, not rubber as the add states, the plastic if fine if you only use it on flat level surfaces but once you’ve had one of these plastic tires hang on on a pebble or a tool you see why it’s important for the ad to be correct, I see that another person made note of this long ago but no correction has been made.

First I was pleased with their quick delivery, I received it several days sooner than stated, even the driver making the delivery was pleasant to deal with.
As does happen sometimes I had a small issue with one of the parts supplied with the unit, I sent an email to Amazon and received an almost instant reply from Ameritemp Ltd. Holly from customer service called me to see what she could do to fix the problem. After a couple of conversations and Holly double checking with me to confirm the issue was settled my issue was solved.
Even after the issue was solved Holly called back to make sure everything was good with me.
Holly did everything possible, going out of her way and spending as much time as needed to resolve the issue, Ameritemp Ltd. should be proud of having her represent the company, if she represents their customer service then they get five stars from me for integrity.
