Replacing my Bionaire PureQuiet unit which was sadly discontinued. The Midea does a good job but a little cumbersome removing the top section to empty the large bucket but the large bucket also means less times having to empty it. The noise level was important to me and is actually very acceptable. All in all it’s a great unit and well worth the price.
An update. I’m well into my first summer with this unit and it’s actually much better than I had expected. I’ve had many dehumidifiers over the years but none would compare to this one. I’d give it an A+ if I could!

Es increÃble la cantidad de agua que se obtiene del medio ambiente. Esta pesado y le faltan ruedas para desplazarlo

I bought mine based upon Consumer Reports’ praise for these and reviews here and I haven’t been disappointed. You really couldn’t ask for a better dehumidifier. I recommend this thing to people all the time.
It’s quite compact but holds way more water than most dehumidifiers twice it’s size. It’s pretty quiet for what it is. It’s very effective. Got a dank mildewy basement apartment well under control in just a few days and kept it that way.
Brought a 1200 square foot apartment from 65+% humidity down to 35% in just under 4 days of running around the the clock and the mildew smell was 90% gone. Only had to empty the bucket once a day and the app tells you how full the bucket is at anytime and even estimates when it will be 100% full.
It switches itself off when it’s full obviously. It even has a spigot like thing on the bottom so you can connect a hose for continuous draining if needed.
It’s also quite reasonable on electricity use *for a dehumidifier*. Bear in mind, dehumidifiers do use a lot of electricity if you run them all the time. Think small window air conditioner, not box fan (in terms of electricity use) and you have the idea.
Really the only suggestion I could make as an improvement would be to add caster wheels to the bottom and perhaps a retractable power cord like some vacuums have.
Oh, and it even has an app to control it which works via Wi-Fi. So you could literally turn it on or off when you’re at a friends house or work if you want to. You can also set it to maintain a certain humidity automatically.
NOTE: It does NOT have wheels, but it does have sturdy handles. If you can lift 25 lbs off the floor with one hand, you’ll have no trouble carting it around or emptying the bucket. I would say that an elderly person or a child under 13 or so might struggle a bit to lift the the unit and move it around or lift the bucket when it’s full though.
If you plan to move it around a lot, you could put it on a sturdy, low profile platform with wheels. If the weight is an issue, just empty the bucket when it’s half-full and you’ll probably make do just fine.
Bear in mind, you do need to lift the entire unit UP and OFF of the bucket it sits upon in order to empty it.
If lifting 20-25 lbs with one arm isn’t an issue for you — then you’ve found your dehumidifier, your search is over. It’s a well-engineered and well-built unit that’s worth every penny. Buy this or one of the similar smaller or larger cube-shaped Midea units and I’m confident you’ll be pleased with the results.

Large capacity, easily emptied and does it pull water out of the air!! We had a different MIDEO dehumidifier that failed just under a year after we bought it. It worked fabulously but sadly it stopped working. Through the AMAZON link to the supplier we reached out and received a full refund … so it only made sense to buy another from MIDEA. Our daughter had previously bought this model and continues to really like it so we chose it. It is a little noisier than the previous model but it works great!!

¡Te vas a sorprender!

I live in Florida and our humidity stays between 65-75% during the day and 80-100% at night.
I originally bought this because we ended up having water come into our house twice with the last two tropical systems (Ian & Nicole) and my parents had 1.5′ of water in their house. So I bought three of these to help dry out my own house and then used these to dry out theirs.
These little guys are amazing! My house was dry within a day, and my parents were completely dried within a six days of use (and after removal of drywall, carpet, etc).
I’m now using two to help suppliemnt my A/C. I keep one in the garage and the other upstairs. My garage stays at about 45% humidity running the unit off and on throughout the day and night. The inside of the house stays a consistent 40% when running the upstairs unit off and on through the day and night.
They aren’t quiet, even the low setting is a little loud for my taste when standing next to the unit. It’s about the sound level of a box fan. So as long as it’s not in the same room, you can hardly hear it.
The app is fantastic and I love the integration with Google. In fact, I had one set up in my living room for a while and set up a routine in Google Home to shut it off when the TV turned on.
The device is very smart. You can say how much water you want to collect before it shuts itself off and waits for you to empty it. Or, you can use continuous draining if you have drain nearby. Two of my units came with an additional pump to pump the water out that the bucket collects. However, I just simply empty the buckets – not too hard to do.
They are moveable but a little on the heavy side even without water. But I love the bucket design and the handles are very strong and secure.
They have a timer feature, but I haven’t used it. I have used the auto on feature when the humidity reaches a certain level in the room. This works fantasticly well. I love knowing that the unit will dehumidify if my house gets high humidity but also won’t overflow if it gets full.
Overall I’d say these are fantastic devices. They’re smart, a great form factor, easy to clean the filter, have lots of customizations available, and very easy to empty.
