I have experience with ozone generators over the years. They’ve changed quite a bit and become much smaller. The last one I purchased was close to $500 and we used it to get rid of any lingering smiles during an estate sale. We couldn’t believe how well it worked. You couldn’t smell anything anymore. This time around the original was already in use, and I needed to purge a house I am selling of cigarette smells. At the price point I was suspicious, but I gave it a try based on these reviews. It did just as great of a job as the $400 one. It’s a pretty simple set up, you just plug it in and make sure that anything that requires oxygen is outside of the house. This is essential as ozone isn’t breathable. It didn’t take much more than one treatment for 6 hours. The pesky smell is gone for good!
Just because I don’t see it very clear in the instruction manual, I have to point out and urge that you do not clean one room at a time while occupying the home. It is not safe to do so and I highly recommend being outside the house or building. Ozone is deadly.
