Gets rid of the extra moisture in the area you put them, I even reill them and still work fine after removing liner a bit to put new chips in.

I have these hanging in my truck, my sailboat (which is always on the bay), and in various places around the house.
With the correct conditions, these pull moisture out of the air just as well as any brand I’ve purchased from local hardware stores.
The added benefit is that I easily purchased ones without that awful, stinky, nauseating smell of the perfumes they put in some. Our local stores hardly carry the unscented ones, so I’ll be purchasing more of these for this winter and future winters.

I noticed some items in my closets getting mildew. I live in a “garden level” semi-underground apartment and I do have a big dehumidifier, but I can’t afford to be running that constantly, nor do I want to do that. These keep my closets dry and my things free from mold and moisture. I’ve been using them for over a year.
