Use for a enlarge bedroom keeps room very cool, love that it’s quiet so we’re able to sleep with it on, it’s everything that it said it would be doesn’t take up that much space and was very easy to assemble would definitely recommend this unit

This a/c unit arrived in a timely manner and was well packaged. The unit isn’t too heavy so I was able to ‘walk it’ up our steps to the second floor where we live. I’m 71 years old. The instructions were easy to understand and I had it operating in less than 30 minutes. We live in an old commercial building and we wanted a unit we could move ‘room to room’ depending on what we needed to cool. We also have tall ceilings – 11 feet. The unit cools very well in a closed room – doors shut, etc. It’s didn’t work as well in our open kitchen/dining area. Make sure to have a large bucket for the water that comes off the unit. We are very pleased with our purchase and would highly recommend this unit. I also like the noise level to sleep by. Great price too!

I rated it 4 stars because 5 to me is perfect. This is a very thorough and accurate review. It works pretty well for my renovated attic apartment which can get over 100 degrees F. You can’t compare to everyone’s experience because it depends on what floor you’re on, is the sun beating on your roof all day, how high your ceilings are, did you get the right size, is it hitting your a/c and how humid your environment is. My living room and windowless kitchen are getting full day sun beating on the roof and my inside humidity can get up to a sweltering 80.
Get a thermostat that has temperature, humidity, date, time and history because I’ve found that when the indoor humidity starts creeping near 50 and the temperature is about 80 F the dehumidifier mode works well and it still puts out cool air. Today inside is 80 deg and 57 humidity and I’m comfortable in my living room which has an open stairwell and around 250 square feet open through a standard door to a long kitchen that has no window and has a back stairwell. I can’t expect that it will cool another 300 feet but the living room stays comfortable but it will run all day with the open door.
You should wait 24 hours after instillation for all kinds of a/c’s before you use cool mode. The refrigerant gets sloshed around and it needs to settle and so it may not cool well. It’s bottom heavy and I had to turn it sideways to get it out of the very well-packed box. Better for two people to carry. Test the fan only mode until 24 hours have passed or else you might be disappointed.
PROS:
If the cool mode air hits me I get too cold. All a/c’s high fan are loud but since there is no ECO mode you don’t get the loud compressor sounds like on a window unit. Low fan is quieter-it’s white noise. I’m not sure how it sounds to the people below me but I put it the foam panels in the packing or some type of cushion that may help any floor vibrating. Just make sure it’s steady and won’t fall over.
The dehumidifier works because it filled a standard bucket more than half way with water. I don’t leave any kind of a/c on if I’m gone for more than 2 hours. It would be good to cut the hose that goes in the upper plug so it won’t get submerged in the water and cause an air lock. In cool mode you do not use the hose. This is simple to do. On this mode it controls the temperature and fan.
The air direction is easier to control as you want it.
I have smaller than standard windows which you should not put window units in and because the hose outlet is within the screen, you won’t get bugs coming in. Lots of dead bugs in my bedroom window unit.
It’s simple. I don’t want all that Wi-fi, smart stuff-just more to go wrong and a good and right sized a/c should cool pretty quickly.
CONS:
You need a plug quite close to the window. The cord is 6 ft. If it’s not that close you won’t be able to move the unit out 6 ft. My unit is 2 ft from the window. Don’t block the back air vents with your bucket or whatever.
Get a roll of white duct tape. The hose is a hard plastic and is too hard to screw into the plastic pieces and stay put. So I taped them on each end and make sure there’s no leak. You want to keep an eye on the tape since heat can loosen it. That needs to be improved.
The window panel is off-white and my windows are white and the unit is white. Why not match the bright white? I ordered panels from another company to fit in my window and they are white with a round hole. Had to cut the panel anyway but I prefer the standard round hole so I am not using the panel and the oblong piece included. I had to tape the panel all around my panel so it’s not beautiful. Make sure to seal up any crack and put a strip of foam in the crack where the window lock is.
In cool mode eventually the water pan at the bottom gets too full and you get a Ft code and need to drain it from the very bottom plug. (Not the upper one where you put the dehumidifier hose into.) It’s so low that you can’t put anything under it and have to lift the unit onto something solid like a stool and then you should tip it a little to get all the water out. The unit is heavy but I can do it.
The hose set-up isn’t great-looking but the unit isn’t that big and has a clean look. The remote control feels cheaply compared to others.
The box says Made In China in big letters, some of the manual language is a little off but what I said above is all you do.
I do not regret buying this because it works. My aim is to open my bedroom door with the 6000 BTU unit and between both try to get the kitchen at a tolerable temperature. Hopefully it will last long.

I bought this in the dead of winter when it was super inexpensive. I live in an older, updated home, with central air that even with a new central air unit, wasn’t getting my bedroom cold enough for me to comfortably sleep. I’m a menopausal woman and need COLD to sleep. I bought this so I could just cool my bedroom at night, instead of dropping the whole house into artic temps. My plan has worked beautifully! Keeps my 12×17 room (angled low ceilings) nice and chilly for me to sleep. It doesn’t take up too much floor space, but you’ll need space next to it for a bucket for the drain hose. I use a 3 gallon Libman mop bucket and that will easily hold one night of humidity it pulls out of the air in the room on even the most humid days here in Wisconsin a little ways off of Lake Michigan. Every day I just take the bucket down to my outdoor plants and water them, for some reason they seem to love that water over being watered with a hose? It’s also nice because I can easily wheel it into a closet -even on plush carpet) for storage during the winter months. Also love that it came with all the necessary attachments to make setting it up easy and quick.

So I live in a very old home, and I probably need a new air conditioning unit because my guest room does not cool off like the rest of the house. I decided to buy this for that guest room so our visitors can be comfortable. It does the job! It cools that room and my living room which is 20×40. Not overly loud, cools quickly, shuts on and off, easily fits in the window. It does put a dent in the electric bill but so would a window unit. At least this has wheels and stand upright making it easy to store in the closet. Couldn’t be any easier. Cost is about the same as the rest of the units this size. Easy to operate and has a remote so you can adjust the temp while you are laying on your couch!

The air conditioner was a splurge to see if it could help cool down my uninsulated office. I have vertical sliding windows so I couldn’t do a regular air conditioner. I was hesitant at first because the portable unit s I’ve had in the past were HUGE and heavy.
This unit is much. more compact than others that I’ve seen and the setup took 5 minutes. It took longer to unpack it than it did to install it actually. Very simple and straightforward and the operation of the unit is also very simple.
It takes a minute or two to start blowing cool air. At first I thought it wasn’t working but as it went on longer it was a slow and steady cooling. keep my office (about 300 square feet) nice and cool. Great buy for the price.
