Not CSA, cUL, or cETL Certified for use in Canada looks like it could be a great product but would not use it due to no certifications.

My house was built in the 30s, and we don’t have central heat or a furnace. We use space heaters, but the area around my computer desk always stays colder than the rest of the house. I work from home and when it’s cold cold that can make it very uncomfortable. Even with slippers my feet stay cold, and my hands freeze at the keyboard.
I got this heater to try to make my work from home situation more comfortable. I had hoped it would help me stay warmer and so far I am very impressed with it. I have it on high but it’s silent. There’s a nice warmth radiating from under the desk to around my legs and even up to the keyboard tray. Today is one of the coldest days we’ve ever had (winter storm of 12/23/2022) and I’m currently very comfortable at my desk. My hands and feet aren’t cold at all.
I also really like the safety features of this heater. It auto shuts off after 9 hours, and it shuts off if it tips over. When it’s not standing up it folds flat for storage, so that will be convenient for summer months. So far it’s silent, and it doesn’t seem to be as drying as space heaters are. There is a plasticky smell but that will probably fade with time. The smell is more than worth putting up with for the warmth.
If anything changes I’ll update this review, but so far I’m feeling like this is one of the best purchases I’ve made in a while.

Compared to a space heater, I like that this panel heater is much more efficient for keeping warm while at a desk. However, after barely a month of use, the ends of the panel are already falling toward the ground. I also noticed an unpleasant plasticky smell on first using the heater, which made me feel ill.

I love being able to keep my office warmer

I put this heater in front of a cold window.
It puts out just enough to catch the chilliness before it reaches you. I’ve also used it under my desk. I love this heater. It is cheap to run and leaves a smaller carbon footprint

This really works! At first I was a little doubtful, but it does keep my legs and feet warm. It’s not winter yet, but its already slightly cold where I am so I got this for work. It doesn’t make a sound or anything! You do have to sit pretty closely to it, so I’m not sure it can keep you warm if it was trying to heat up a room or if you didn’t have it surrounding your legs.
The only thing I wished it had (why I gave it 4 stars) was “updated” controls. It would have been nice if the control panel looked a little “fancier” and had a remote control. For $70ish (with tax) I would expect something that looks semi-premium. I know it showed the look in images, but I was desperate for a silent heater so I got this one. Also, it would be nice if the power cord looks more durable. Looks slightly cheap so I’m hoping it’ll hold up.

Likes- finally warm
feet and legs- would have liked it to be a bit longer to cover better area- and option to have controls other end- works great. Slight odor initially- dissipates after 15 min when on

I bought this last winter to use under my desk. My home office setup is right by an outside wall and gets very cold, especially when just sitting for long periods. This fits very nicely in the footwell–the 5-panel construction means you can configure it easily to fit a specific space. When not in use, it folds up compactly for easy storage.
It heats up quickly. The heat setting and timer are adjustable. I haven’t used the remote control since mine is in use only when I’m seated at my desk so I use the control panel on the heater. Some people mentioned that the control panel was difficult to use. I didn’t find that to be the case, but you do need to press in the center of a button and hold firmly for a few seconds. I see that as a plus, frankly, since you don’t want controls that could be changed just by an inadvertent touch.
Speaking of which, this heater seems very safe. It’s sturdy–even when I intentionally jostle/tug on it, it barely budges. No danger of tipover. (People with children/pets should use their own judgement and take reasonable precautions.) The surface of the pad does get warm to the touch, but not uncomfortably so. No burn risk with normal, reasonable use. (Again, precautions should be made to prevent prolonged, direct exposure.) And if I’m going to be away/out of the room for any length of time, I manually turn it off. On the few occasions I’ve forgotten, the auto shutoff has worked.
I was unfamiliar with this kind of heater, so it was something of a risk for me when I bought it, but I couldn’t be happier with it. I’ve already set it up again this year for the nippy autumn mornings and my feet are nice and toasty.

Short Review (details follow):
Pros:
Lightweight, fan-fold design allows for shaping the unit
FULL Temperature controls, not just “Low/High”
Timer control for up to 9 hours of continuous heat.
It remembers your settings for the next use.
Fabric surfaces do not get too hot to touch if/when I want to reposition the unit while “On”.
While I can feel the slightest heat radiating out from under my desk chair opening, it is not at all overwhelming and does not “dry out” my eyes like a space heater did.
Cons:
I can’t really call this a “Con”, but for my under-desk use, it would be REALLY nice if the control panel buttons were “blister” or “Braille”-styled so that I could feel where they are instead of having to look under my desk with a flashlight to see where the On/Off switch is. At present, I have simply “learned-by-feel” where it’s relative position to the power cord on the control box is, and turn it on that way.
NOTES: Having read others’ accounts of off-gassing, I plugged mine in for a monitored 1/2 hour in an open area and did not experience any off-gassing/odors. I have also noticed a very negligible hum each time I turn the unit on (normal for any radiant heater while initially warming up), and a slight “pulsing” of any lights plugged into the same circuit while the unit is “cycling” on/off to maintain temperature.
Details:
Overall, I LOVE this heater! (…and as a side note – being a disabled Veteran, I also appreciate that this company is Veteran-Owned and that my money has helped to support it.) As I have reviewed another similar, less expensive product that fell FAR short (I’d call it a piece of crap, but that would be an insult to crap…), I wish I had found this one first!
As a disabled Vet with knee/leg issues, I spend a lot of time at my desk and my knees and legs go cold quickly. I needed something to warm the leg area which is 31D”x31W”x26″H, metal on sides and back, wood top, carpeted floor, and completely enclosed except for the leg/chair opening.
This product is PERFECT for it! Not only does it have a larger heat surface, but due to it’s “fan-fold” design, I could actually wrap it around the rear portion of that space therefore “surrounding” my legs with EXACTLY the nice, warm, gentle heat I was looking for!
Bonus Update 04/08/23: Also quickly dries out my pant legs after I have to go out on a particularly sloppy day! 😀
