Silicagel ist (wie allgemein bekannt) ein guter Entfeuchter / Feuchte-Adsorber). Das schöne an diesen Säckchen ist, dass sie als Portionen sofort genutzt werden können, sofort regeneriert werden können (bei Bedarf, natürlich) und dass, weil das Silicagel in Säckchen sauber verstaut ist, keine frei herumspringenden Kügelchen Sie zur Weissglut bringen… ;-))!

I am pleased with my purchase of this item. The packets have little dots that change color when the silica gel has reached max capacity. A simple pop into a microwave oven restores the gel in no time. Am pleased this can be used over and over again! I found the packet size is perfect for my camera lens cases and was able to close the case. I would recommend.

I hadn’t realized but the inside of fireproof safes can get very humid, making documents feel limp and non dry. Put a couple of these in and problem goes away, work as designed.
When the desiccant gets too damp itself, a few minutes in the microwave, and they’re good to go again..

I live on the coast and use these in my gun vault. It’s a never-ending battle controlling humidity in FL. These have been the best solution yet. Baking out is easy, I’ve used the microwave and the oven. I personally think the oven does a better job. I have to bake them out about every 6 weeks because it’s FL. But they have handled the constant cycling well.

My wife’s car recently had a sunroof leak that soaked the floorboards. After fixing the leak and vacuuming as much water up as I could the car was still humid and musty. I purchased the 2 pack 500g moisture absorbers and they have sucked up all the extra moisture and completely removed the musty odor. They are easy to throw in the microwave and dry out to be used over and over. After drying them out and weighing them on the kitchen scale I left them on the counter and they even started sucking up moisture in the house, again verified by weighing them. Highly recommend for taking care of humid areas in your house, car, gun safe etc etc.

I use the 2 pack of 500g silica desiccant to keep my motorcycle track gear dry when it is in storage between track days. One inside my helmet and the other near my gloves has done wonders to keep my gear from becoming smelly and damp, and every time I get my gear out at the track it is always nice and dry. These two packs can absorb quite a lot of moisture, as I have not yet had to put them in the oven to reactivate them; however it is a great plus of this product that they are reusable.

IF RECHARGING and you see orange, *don’t*. Orange means dry. If you try to dry them and they’re already dry, you’ll melt it. Also, use less time than the bag says, and watch them. If the bags start to shrink, you’ve gone too far.
